Introduction
During week 8, 2003, all the first year students, general studies, on Levanger Secondary School (VGS) were involved in a greater project, where the students were put into different groups. The students could choose groups themselves in the classes 1AAA and 1AAB, while the groups in our class, 1AAC, were put together by our form teacher, Harald Berg. The groups could choose freely among subjects and execution of the project, as long as it didn’t seem too foolish.

Planning of the project: ideas
We sat down in the groups when they were proclaimed, and started discussing what we could do. Many propositions came to our minds; for instance: doing a research on spare time-activities in Levanger, and a research on Trond Erik’s Coca Cola-consumption. These propositions were turned down in no-time, and we went for Marte’s brilliant idea.

Operation Trapper
Most people would think we were insane, thinking about sleeping out in the wild nature in the middle of February, here in Trøndelag. Doubt was found within the group as well; only half of the group members supported the proposition at first. But when the idea was approved, and since no other propositions came in, we just started the planning.

Introduction
Why did we choose exactly this project? This is the background for our choice.
